Amazon 250
Amazon has laid off 250 employees in its devices unit, which makes products such as Kindle e-readers and Echo smart speakers. The cuts follow an engineering memo the company circulated urging developers to learn AI or risk falling behind.
Dropbox 200
Dropbox plans to eliminate about 200 jobs across its global workforce as the cloud storage company reshapes its teams around key product and growth priorities. Chief Technology Officer Ali Dasdan will also leave the company, effective Nov. 18, 2026.
Innodata 550
Hundreds of workers in India and the Philippines say they lost their jobs in the middle of their work shifts after American AI data services company Innodata cut off their access to company systems on Oct. 26. The workers affected included data raters, quality assurance staff, team leaders and operations managers. One termination notice cited a 'ramp-down of the business assignment' as the reason for the cuts.
Comcast 5,000
Agentic AI tools have streamlined the customer service operations at Comcast. 'We've already reduced customer service contact rates by roughly 20% and eliminated more than 30 million service interactions year to date versus the prior year,' Armstrong said. 'As personal AI agents reshape how consumers discover, purchase and manage services, we're positioning Comcast to capitalize on that shift.'
